The University of Mississippi Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics in Jackson, Miss., is seeking candidates for our ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship training program.

The NICU at Children's of Mississippi is the only Level IV NICU in the state of Mississippi. The Division of Neonatal Medicine has 14 neonatologists, 26 NNPs and three hospitalists. The division has a strong basic science research lab with four basic science researchers with established funded research in the field of brain injury and NEC. We participate in the Vermont Oxford Network and have an established ground and air neonatal transport team and offer high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, brain cooling and ECMO. The Department of Pediatrics has a full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgery subspecialists, a strong CV Surgery program, and several subspecialty fellowship programs, including hematology, palliative care, critical care and cardiology. In addition, we have an active academic MFM service with a fellowship training program and a busy Fetal Center.

In addition to a variety of clinical opportunities, fellows will have opportunities to participate in basic science, clinical, translational and quality improvement research based on individual interest. In addition, we have a developmental follow-up clinic and the availability of a dedicated rehab team for occupational, physical and speech therapy as well as early intervention services.
